Graham Plumbers Merchant supports Rising Sun for a fourth year — raising an incredible £10,527!

We are absolutely delighted to share that Graham Plumbers Merchant in Canterbury are supporting Rising Sun for the fourth year running, and their commitment continues to make a real difference for survivors of domestic abuse in our community.

Over the years, the team have thrown themselves into fundraising with energy, creativity, and a genuine desire to help. Their efforts have included an instore golf competition and a drinks and breakfast station – much needed for all those plumbers collecting their taps early in the morning!

Thanks to their dedication — and the generous match funding from their head office, UKPS — Graham’s have raised an astounding £10,527 for Rising Sun so far. Their fundraising could help provide 421 sessions of specialist one-to-one counselling for women rebuilding their life following the trauma of domestic abuse.

We truly cannot thank the Graham’s team enough for standing alongside survivors and helping them to safety, recovery and a positive future.

Andy at Graham’s shared why this partnership matters to the team:

“Rising Sun is such a worthwhile local charity, it’s not a faceless national charity, we can see how they affect people locally. Most of us here and our customers are men and we know that Rising Sun supports anyone. I think not many people want to talk about domestic abuse, so we want to be part of raising awareness. Rising Sun have been really willing to get involved with us and with our events. We want to have more events this year and raise more money!”

And Clive adds:

“All of the men and women that work here are really keen to support a local charity. We’re so pleased that we’ve raised such an amazing amount, and we’re aiming to raise even more! We’ve got a raffle lined up and there’s talk of a fundraising event involving someone sitting in a bath filled with ducks in the middle of the showroom – just need one of the team to volunteer!”
