There are many different forms of domestic abuse, and it isn’t always physical or visible.
To help you reduce your risk of harm, we've put together suggestions you may want to consider.
We're here to support you through every step of removing abuse and improving safety.
Whether they've confided in you or not, we've put together some advice for supporting them.
We support adults and children affected by domestic in Canterbury, Ashford and Folkestone & Hythe.
Alongside Rising Sun, there's many other organisations that can help you along your journey.

Welcome to the Rising Sun Brett Lydd Half Marathon & 20 Mile 2025 application form. Thank you for your interest in this run for Rising Sun, we are so grateful for your support! Please note: for the 20 mile race, runners must be at least 18 years of age as of Sunday 9th March 2025, and for the Half Marathon, runners must be at least 17 years of age as of Sunday 9th March 2025.
We ask runners taking on either distance to pledge to raise at least £100 (before Gift Aid) for Rising Sun. Please complete the application form below to apply for a Rising Sun place in the Brett Lydd Half Marathon & 20 Mile. Once submitted, a member of our fundraising team will be in touch.
