Overview

The Own My Life Programme is a course to help women who have been subjected to abuse to regain ownership of their lives,  including owning our mind, body, choices, relationships, world, feelings.
 
The Own My Story Journal provided with the course includes exercises to reflect on our actions, and includes all the information provided throughout the course.  This becomes an ongoing resource for women after the course has finished.

Who is it for?

The  Own My Life Programme is open to any women who have experienced, or are experiencing domestic abuse.

Where is it run?

The location is disclosed when a referral has been received due to safety reasons.

What are the aims?

This course aims too educate and empower women who have experienced abuse to regain ownership of their own lives. Using creative content to explain complex concepts about trauma and abuse in easy to understand exercises, along with videos which evidence how popular culture reinforces or perpetuates:

  • Sexism.

  • Rape culture.

  • Violence.

  • Misogyny.

  • Disrespect in relationships.

  • Abusive behaviour.
