
The Rising Sun is a specialist provider of services for families and children exposed to Domestic abuse.
Trainers are Helly Langley and Anne Lyttle, both experienced professionals in the field of Domestic Violence. Both have been involved with the Rising Sun for more than 20 years
Courses may be tailored to cover different subjects for the requirements of the specific agency:

• Domestic Violence and Emotional Competence
• Domestic Violence and Trauma: Understanding the Impact on the Brain
• Adolescents and Domestic Violence
• Domestic Violence and Attachment Theory and Practice
• The Impact of Domestic Violence on Parenting
• The Psychology of Perpetrators of Domestic Violence and Family Annihilators
• Risk and Safety
• Domestic Violence and the Legal Framework
• Domestic Violence and the Education System
These courses will offer a greater understanding of the complex issues and effects of living with abuse. They will help practitioners working in generic services to gain greater confidence in working with families and children with whom they come into contact
Courses will range from 1⁄2 day to 2 full days. All courses can be tailored to meet the needs of the students.
Costs for Agencies
£350 for a half day (9:00-12:30)
£750 for a full day (9:00-3:30)

Costs for Individuals
The Rising Sun Domestic Violence & Abuse Service can also host the training at a cost of £50 per individual to include lunch and printed material (maximum 20 delegates)
